DoorDash, Uber Eats & Grubhub menu photo requirements (2026)

Checked against platform and integrator documentation · August 2026

The short version: DoorDash asks for dish photos of at least 1400 × 800 pixels (roughly 16:9 landscape), Uber Eats at least 1200 × 800 pixels, and Grubhub at least 1955 × 1286 pixels (3:2) — JPG or PNG on all three. Each platform also rejects photos for content reasons (logos, watermarks, collages), which catches more restaurants than the pixel minimums do.

Grubhub1955 × 1286 px3:2JPG, PNG10 MB

Specs drift as the platforms redesign their apps — treat this table as the widely published values and confirm inside your own merchant portal before a big shoot.

Content rules (the usual rejection reasons)

  • The photo must show the actual menu item you sell — not a stock photo of a similar dish.
  • No logos, watermarks, text overlays, borders or promotional graphics on the image.
  • No collages — one dish per photo.
  • No people, hands or packaging as the subject; the food fills most of the frame.
  • Bright, even lighting; the platforms reject dark or blurry photos at review.

One master photo that fits all three

DoorDash crops wide (16:9), Uber Eats closer to 5:4, and Grubhub 3:2 — so a photo framed edge-to-edge for one app gets awkwardly cropped on another. The practical fix: shoot one high-resolution landscape master (3000 px wide or more) with the dish centered and generous margin on every side, then crop per platform.

Phone photo too dark or the table looks messy? Fix Your Pic fixes the lighting and replaces the background on a photo of your real dish — free to try, no account.

FAQ

Can I use the same photo on DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub?

Yes, if the source photo is large enough: at least 1955 × 1286 px covers all three minimums. Keep margin around the dish so each platform's crop still frames it well.

Are AI-enhanced photos allowed on delivery apps?

Enhancing a real photo of a dish you actually serve — lighting, background, color — is the digital version of styling and is broadly accepted. Generating a fake dish, or making the food materially different from what arrives, is misrepresentation and can get the listing flagged. Enhance real photos; don't invent them.

Is a phone photo good enough?

Modern phones exceed every minimum above. The rejections come from lighting, clutter and framing — not from the camera.
